When I was young, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do – but I knew I wanted to do something creative. It has always been a passion for me. I have been working in a creative environment since the mid-1990s.
My background includes newspaper reporting, editing and publishing; portrait photography and photojournalism; graphic design and layout and other odd creative jobs. I have edited/published the Senior Perspective newspaper since 2002. Also in 2002, I started doing freelance design and photography work. This on-the-side freelance work developed into a business called Jim’s Photo & Freelance and eventually became Palmer Creations as more services were added. I like the creative process and taking a new project from start to finish.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with family, camping, traveling, golfing, playing Scrabble and taking my boys on “adventure days.” Jim lives in Glenwood and is married with three boys.
I was born and raised in Starbuck and recently came back to the area. I have 24 years in the print industry. I enjoy working with people and helping them. When I was young, I wanted to be a lawyer. That didn’t happen. I do have an adventurous side. If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would go where the biggest roller coasters are at. I also like to explore closer to home. Sometimes, I just jump in the car with my music up high and go for long drives with no destination in mind… just exploring. When I’m not at work, I like to be on the lake – especially fishing and water sports.
Joanne lives in Glenwood and has one grown son.

When I was young, I always wanted to do something artistic. In third grade, I was always asked to draw Snoopy for my classmates. From then on, I knew that is what I was good at. I am originally from Brooklyn Center and lived in the Shakopee/Chaska until moving to Morris in 2001. I have been in the newspaper/print business for the last 27 years. I like the profession because even though parts of my job are the same, it’s always new and different and I’m always learning new things. When I’m not at work, I like to hang out with my family, bowling and reading. I also like to spend time on the lake, either jet skiing or fishing. If I could travel to one place in the world, it would be Hawaii.
Jen and her husband live in Morris and have two grown children and one granddaughter.

Just wanting things to look nice I followed the rabbit hole of art and design to end up at Palmer Creations. Weird projects customers are afraid can’t be done are my specialty. I collect hobbies including but not limited to journaling, screenprinting, something called Budschool, and amateur cheese making. Also, I am done watching time travel movies unless one comes around with a new twist (they always do).
Bud lives in Alexandria where, when not sending unsolicited comedic mailings, he and his wife are grooming their children for a life of greatness.
I love good design and turning client ideas into finished products every day. When not helping customers set up their art for advertising and printed materials, I enjoy playing the piano and am active in my church. A small town devotee, I also love spending time with family and theorizing about Marvel movies.
Beth lives in Evansville surrounded by many musical instruments.
I work at the intersection of curiosity, problem solving, reasoning and imagination, guiding the process to uncover the visual communication needs for your business and brand development through typography, photography, color theory, and illustration.
As an artist, I draw from over 19+ years (yes, I know I just dated myself...ufda) of passionate design experience. I have strong roots in the Alexandria area and I'm very proud to work with so many amazing businesses and individuals. With a big heart, I welcome new clients near and far and continue to thank you our current clients for their very long time business.
With an old soul and salt of the earth vibes you will always find me with my kids soaking up nature by camping, paddle boarding, biking, fishing and enjoying lake time with family and friends.
Lynn lives in Alexandria and stays very active raising 2 children and being a taxi mom.

With years of experience in the print industry, starting in Omaha, Nebraska, then Glacial Printing and now Palmer Creations. I like to take a job from concept to finished product. It’s very satisfying. When I was young, I wanted to be a cartographer (map maker). One of my favorite hobbies is golf. I play whenever I have a chance. One trip I would love to go on would be a golf trip to Scotland and Ireland.
Mark, who lives in Glenwood, is married and has two grown children and one granddaughter. He also has two dogs, Barney and Rudy.
I’ve been in the printing field for decades. When I was 12, I knew I was wanted to join the military. When I was 15, I first used a printing press as part of a high school class in Jackson, Minn. I was hooked. I joined the service after high school and also ran a press during my days in the military. After my years in the service, I started printing as my profession.
